On April 9, 2026, the Institute of New Concept Sensors and Molecular Materials at Shaanxi Normal University held a special training session on “Laboratory Safety and Confidentiality” in the lecture hall. The session was chaired by vice dean Prof. Ding Liping, and attended by nearly 100 faculty members and students.

At the training session, Yan Junlin, director of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Chemistry, rpresented a special report on experimental safety regulations and practical precautions. Drawing on the practical aspects of daily laboratory management, Yan elaborated on core topics such as the standardization of experimental procedures, the proper use and storage of hazardous chemicals, emergency response protocols, and the safe operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment. By analyzing common areas prone to safety hazards and interpreting typical accident cases, he highlighted the serious consequences of non-compliant operations. He urged all faculty and students to strictly adhere to all experimental safety regulations and resolutely eliminate any complacency or non-compliance, effectively safeguard the lives and property of themselves and others, and jointly uphold laboratory safety.

Following this, Professor Zuo Zhennan conducted a training session on confidentiality, covering three key areas: basic confidentiality principles, guidelines for confidentiality practices, and analyses of typical cases. He explained the rules for using the access control system and urged all faculty and students to heighten their awareness of confidentiality, strictly adhere to confidentiality regulations, and take rigorous measures to prevent any incidents of information leakage or loss.
