On April 10, 2026, Prof. Liu Kaiqiang of the Institute of New Concept Sensors and Molecular Materials at Shaanxi Normal University was appointed vice principal for Science of Qujiang No. 3 Middle School.

At the appointment ceremony, Liu Kaiqiang expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him by Shaanxi Normal University and Qujiang No. 3 High School. Drawing on his professional expertise and educational philosophy, he encouraged the students to aim high, maintain their curiosity, and preserve their natural instincts; to study diligently to lay a solid foundation for their growth; to cultivate their character with optimism and a positive outlook; and to embrace responsibility while deepening their sense of patriotism. He hoped that, regardless of their future careers, the students would possess critical thinking skills, scientific literacy, and a humanistic spirit — combining the rigor and objectivity of science with the romance and elegance of the humanities and arts.
