At present, the institute has 15 doctoral students and 85 master students. Their majors range from Chemistry (including Physical Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry, for academic degree), Chemical Engineering and Technology (for academic degree), to Materials and Chemical Engineering (for professional degree).

The institute has graduated 141 master’s students, of whom 54 continued to pursue doctoral degrees. Of the 31 doctoral students who have graduated, 1 won the National 100 Excellent Doctoral Dissertations Award, 5 won the Shaanxi Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award, 1 was selected for the National Postdoctoral Innovation Talent Support Program, 1 was supported by the Japanese government as a JSPS scholar for postdoctoral research, 1 was funded by the Humboldt Foundation for postdoctoral research, 1 was funded by the Outstanding Youth Fund of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 was supported by the National Distinguished Professor Youth Program, and 2 were selected for the New Century Excellent Talents Program of the Ministry of Education. Most of the institute’s graduates have continued to pursue their study abroad, and are currently engaged in teaching and research in universities or research institutes, teaching in primary and secondary schools, and R&D and management in high-tech companies or enterprises and institutions.
