On July 1, 2026, Prof. Fang Yu attended the 2026 Technical Committee Meeting of the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center Center of Historical Cultural Heritage Conservation, held at the Chang’an Campus of Shaanxi Normal University.

Fang Yu, as a committee member together with committee chair Academician Yang Yuliang and other members, listened to a report by center director Prof. Li Yuhu on the center’s recent work in the conservation of photographic images, paper archives and cultural relics, ancient murals and painted cultural relics, earthen archaeological sites and brick-and-stone cultural relics, and durable storage and display systems for cultural relics. They acknowledged the center’s achievements and offered opinions and suggestions on issues such as the formulation of scientific research questions, effectiveness evaluation, promotion and dissemination of research findings in cultural heritage conservation, cultivation of young talent, international exchange and cooperation, open research projects, and science popularization.
