On September 8, 2026, Prof. Fang Yu, as a member of the National Textbook Committee, attended the National Textbook Work Conference in Beijing. Ding Xuexiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Members of the National Textbook Committee, as well as responsible officials from provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, relevant departments of central and state agencies, and relevant universities attended the meeting. Responsible officials from the Ministry of Education, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Zhejiang Province, and Peking University, as well as teacher representatives, shared their opinions and comments.
