On September 28, 2026, the Institute of New Concept Sensors and Molecular Materials at Shaanxi Normal University held an orientation session and safety and confidentiality training session for the incoming class of 2026 graduate students. Vice dean Prof. Ding Liping chaired the meeting and welcomed the new students, which was attended by nearly 100 faculty members and students.

At the meeting, Prof. Liu Kaiqiang provided an overview of the institute, including its philosophy, organizational structure, staffing, and primary research areas, focusing on the themes of tradition and innovation.

Assoc. Prof. Bo Xin led a training session on laboratory safety, covering instrument operation, reagent management, hazardous waste disposal, and emergency response procedures. Drawing on typical case studies, he emphasized the importance of laboratory discipline to strengthen safety protocols.

Mr. Zuo Zhennan conducted a training session on confidentiality, covering four key areas: confidentiality laws and regulations, common risks of information leaks, analysis of typical cases, and codes of conduct for confidentiality. He also explained the guidelines for using the access control system.
