On October 11, 2026, Prof. Fang Yu attended the Second Forum on Frontiers in Materials Chemistry initiated and hosted by the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University, where he served as one of the forum’s honorary chairs and presided over two plenary sessions.

With the theme “Frontiers in Materials Chemistry and Chemical Engineering”, the conference focused on cutting-edge areas such as porous materials, identification and separation technologies, functional and smart polymers, composite materials, energy and catalysis, and ultra-pure chemicals for electronics. It aimed to promote discussions on academic frontiers and hot topics, foster collaboration in technology R&D and the commercialization of research outcomes, support the multidimensional development of talent, and provide an international exchange platform for the advancement of China’s materials chemistry field.
